The George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library a branch of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System is offering an exciting new program series that can help parents of children from birth to five learn about the six pre-reading skills that children must know before they can learn to read.  This information concerning "Every Child Ready to Read" programs and materials are available to parents by visiting the library website: http://www.countylibrary.org/ or by contacting Shelly Lane, Children's Librarian at 936-442-7728 ext. 335.  This program ties in wonderfully with Dr. Don Stockton's "Read for a Better Life" initiative.
